The NFL schedule has now been released, which means we now have a solid idea of how things might play out over the course of the coming season. Of course, we have come to expects upsets, as well as injuries that can have an impact on the final standings. What that means is that we can start to seriously think about the total wins that each team might deliver in the 2022 season. Making these predictions before training camps open is never easy, but it might also be the best time to wager, as you can bet that these totals are going to change before the season begins based on how the preseason plays out. Let’s start out by looking at the NFC West and trying to predict whether each team will go over or under their current total so you can make your bets against the NFL Team Totals odds.

NFL 2022 Season Win Total Over/Under Picks for the NFC West Division

Arizona Cardinals – UNDER 9

Over the past few seasons, this is a team that has become synonymous with falling apart in the latter stages of the season. That alone makes them a tough pick, but when you also take into account that they will be missing DeAndre Hopkins for the first 6 games of the coming season, and you have a perfect storm that suggests they might struggle to get to the 9-win mark. The Cardinals had 11 wins last season, but I think they fall short of that mark. At best, I think we might see a push.

LA Rams – OVER 10 ½

The defending Super Bowl champions come into the season as one of the favorites to make another deep run. That said, the Rams have the toughest schedule in the league this season, which could have some bettors eying the under. One thing to consider here is that they had the 2^nd toughest schedule in the NFL last season and still managed to deliver 12 wins. It’s never easy to head into a new season with a target on your back as the Super Bowl champion, but this is a team that looks set to make another big run in 2022.

San Francisco 49ers – UNDER 10

Let me start by saying that this pick is one of the toughest of this division. The 49ers had 10 wins last season and made a deep playoff run. The fact that most of their key personnel will be back for this season suggests that we might see more of the same, but I am on the fence given that we are not yet fully sure of their QB situation. Jimmy Garoppolo was the man that led the 49ers last season, but all signs point to him being on the way out, which would put Trey Lance under center. I’ll have a better idea of this pick once that situation has been resolved.

Seattle Seahawks – OVER 6

I’ll be the first to admit that this is a risky prediction, especially when you consider that the QB situation in Seattle is somewhat up in the air now that Russell Wilson is out the door and playing in a new home. Their 2022 schedule includes several games versus teams who look to be in a worse situation that Seattle are, which is why I think they can eke out at least 6 wins and possibly creeping just over the total.
