2022 US Open Betting Update: Swiatek vs Jabeur Women's Final, Men's Semifinals Preview

2022 US Open Betting Update: Swiatek vs Jabeur Women’s Final, Men’s Semifinals Preview

The two US Open women’s semifinals took place last night at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City and, when the dust settled, we’re left with an ideal women’s final between two of the biggest and most consistent stars this season: Iga Swiatek and Ons Jabeur.

The men’s semifinals begin today at 3 p.m. EST with Karen Khachanov going head-to-head with Norwegian Casper Ruud. American favorite and underdog Frances Tiafoe takes on young sensation Carlos Alcaraz under the lights in the other semifinal on Friday. Let’s check out our US Open Betting update for the weekend action.

Updated 2022 US Open Betting Opportunities, Analysis, Odds, and Picks

Iga Swiatek (-188) vs Ons Jabeur (+162)

The women’s final is set for Saturday after Iga Swiatek, as expected, defeated Aryna Sabalenka 3-6, 6-1, 6-4. It hasn’t been an easy path for the world No. 1 as she has dropped the first set in two of her last three matches, but she has been able to dig deep and find another level.

Ons Jabeur, meanwhile, is into her second Grand Slam final of the year. The Tunisian became the first African player to make a Grand Slam final earlier this year at Wimbledon, but lost to Elena Rybakina.

Jabeur may be the betting underdog in this match, but she’s looked better through six matches in New York and looks more confident than ever. Jabeur has only lost one set all tournament and made quick work of Caroline Garcia 6-1, 6-3, in the semifinals. Garcia hadn’t dropped a set before that match.

Men’s Outright Odds

  • Carlos Alcaraz +100
  • Casper Ruud +260
  • Frances Tiafoe +400
  • Karen Khachanov +550

Karen Khachanov (+150) vs Casper Ruud (-188)

Few expected world No. 31 Karen Khachanov to make it this far and almost nobody gave him a chance against popular pick Nick Kyrgios in the quarter-finals – yet, here we are. Khachanov has a great serve, but Casper Ruud should match up well against the Russian.

Ruud, in his semifinal match, handled Matteo Berrettini’s booming serve with relative ease. He broke the Italian early and often and won the match in straight sets.

The runner-up at the French Open, Ruud is seeking to make his second Grand Slam final of the year and could also become the world No. 1 if he wins this match and Alcaraz loses in the other semifinal.

Carlos Alcaraz (-188) vs Frances Tiafoe (+150)

There hasn’t been a male American champion at the US Open since Andy Roddick in 2003. Before that was a decade of American dominance, with Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi winning multiple times in the 1990s. Even players like Michael Chang and Todd Martin made finals.

Tiafoe is already into the semifinals, marking the first time an American has advanced this far since Roddick in 2006. Tiafoe is the clear underdog against Alcaraz, who could become the number one player in the world if he wins this match (and Ruud loses), but will have the support of the home crowd and is riding an incredible wave of momentum – his last two victories were against Andrey Rublev and Rafael Nadal.

Alcaraz, however, has been one of the betting favorites all tournament and just defeated Italian Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals. Sinner had defeated Alcaraz in their prior two matches. Now that he’s gotten over that hump, expect Alcaraz to put an end to Tiafoe’s magical run.

I have had a great experience with this site. Deposit and payout methods are fairly easy. Betting is pretty self explanatory as well. Anytime I’ve had any issues (and I’ve had a few due ti my own ignorance at times) customer service has been wonderful and extremely helpful.

Sportsbook lines are great and the contests are fun. Love the casinos and quicker payiut service by bitcoin. Could be 5 stars if cashout is within 15 minutes like other sportsbook
