US Open Odds Favorites, Early Betting Prediction, Best PGA Bets

The world of gold has changed dramatically over the past year or so with the arrival of the LIV Tour. We have seen some big names abandon the PGA and head to LIV and the massive, guaranteed money that they deliver. It has created a fracture in the sport, but one that has not yet bled into the majors. These are either invitational, like The Masters, or are open to all golfers. Whether that will stay the same remains to be seen, but we can look forward to the 2023 majors safe in the knowledge that all the top players will be playing. For the purposes of this piece, we are going to focus on the 2023 US Open, which will be held at the Los Angeles Country Club on June 15 through 18. Let’s take a look at the current US Open Betting favorites.

PGA Tour 2023 U.S. Open Betting Predictions and Early Favorites to Win

Rory McIlroy (+940)

The #1 ranked player in the world and the defending FedEx Cup champion comes into this season with the bar set about as high as it can go. He was nothing short of brilliant last year and now has 23 wins on the PGA Tour. He won the US Open back in 2011, setting the record score in the process, but he has not won it since. I would suggest that McIlroy is long overdue for another win in this tournament, and the bookies seem to think that this might be his year. It certainly helps that he got the season off to a winning start at the CJ Cup.

Justin Thomas (+1125)

It has been a slow start to the season for Thomas, who has yet to even crack the top 25 in the two tournaments that he has played to this point. I have a feeling that he will come good once we start getting into the meat of the season, so if you like his chances in LA, now might be the time to get some money on him at these odds. He has yet to win the US Open, and if you don’t really fancy his chances here, I still think he might be a good top 5 bet, assuming he does get rolling this season.

Scottie Scheffler (+1125)

You can’t come any closer to winning the US Open than Scheffler did last year, losing out to Matt Fitzpatrick by a single stroke. That alone should have you looking at him as a potential winner this time around. It really was a career year for Scheffler last season, with no less than 4 wins on the tour. I have a feeling that he is going to build on that in 2023, as he already has a trio of top 10 finishes under his belt this season. I would definitely take a chance on him at these odds.

Jon Rahm (+1125)

If there has been a knock on Rahm in his time on the PGA Tour, it’s that he is always close, but he doesn’t always get the job done. He is a guy that has proven to be a great bet when playing him to finish in the top 5, as he lands there more often than not. He has played twice this season and has a win and another top 5 finish, so he is starting out in some fine form. He did win the Open in 2021, so he is another one worth taking a look at.

I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?

MyBookie’s software and lines are in line with other books, but they really stand out with the promotions. They are more frequent and offer better deals than their competitors. I’ll never go back to another book.

I have had a great experience with this site. Deposit and payout methods are fairly easy. Betting is pretty self explanatory as well. Anytime I’ve had any issues (and I’ve had a few due ti my own ignorance at times) customer service has been wonderful and extremely helpful.
