70th Anniversary GP Odds & Picks – Formula 1 Betting

After a long delay, the Formula 1 season is now 4 races in, and those hoping for some sort of surprise this season are going to be sorely disappointed. The opening race of the season saw Lewis Hamilton left off the podium, albeit only because of a penalty picked up during the race, but he has dominated the proceedings ever since. Hamilton will be back in his home territory this weekend, with the second straight race set to be run at Silverstone. Last weekend, it was the British Grand Prix, but we have a bit of a special one set to go on Sunday, as it will be the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix, once again at Silverstone. Let’s have a look at some of the favorites to take the checkered flag so you can place your bets against their Formula 1 odds.

Formula 1 70th Anniversary Grand Prix 2020 Odds & Picks

Lewis Hamilton (-300)

After a rough opening week, the most dominant driver of the past decade in Formula 1 is back at the top of the drive standings. Lewis Hamilton comes into this weekend on the heels of 3-straight wins, including the British Grand Prix at Silverstone last weekend. The bad news for the drivers intent on catching him is Hamilton has now won 7 times in his homeland, including in 6 of the last 7 seasons. With that in mind, it’s tough to see anyone but Hamilton taking the checkered flag again this weekend. A win here is going to make him very tough to catch.

Valtteri Bottas (+350)

The Finnish driver has made an excellent start to the season, landing on the podium in each of the first 3 races of the year. He opened things up with a win in Austria, after which he took 2nd in the next race in Austria, followed by a 3rd place finish last weekend in Hungary. That run came to an end at Silverstone last weekend, as he was unable to get onto the podium. Still, he has had a pair of 2nd place finishes in Great Britain over the last 4 seasons, but he needs a win this weekend if he is to put the pressure on Hamilton in the standings.

Max Verstappen (+750)

If you look back at the years in which Hamilton has dominated the sport, you have to feel a little bit of sympathy for both Verstappen and Bottas. Both drivers might well have had multiple championships had Hamilton not been in the picture. As it is, though, they are very often the bridesmaids, which was the case again last weekend, with Verstappen coming in 2nd behind Hamilton at the British Grand Prix. That matched his best showing in Britain, and with 3 straight podium finishes this season, you have to like him to be among the leaders again on Sunday.

Alex Albon (+5000)

It would certainly be fitting to have a British driver win on Sunday at such a prestigious event. If not Hamilton, which seems the most likely scenario, then how about Alex Albon? This is just his second season on the F1 circuit, but he has improved with each race in his home country. He finished 12th in hos first crack at the British Grand Prix, while landing in 8th last week. Making the move to winner seems highly unlikely, but he may be worth a wager as a podium finisher.

MyBookie’s software and lines are in line with other books, but they really stand out with the promotions. They are more frequent and offer better deals than their competitors. I’ll never go back to another book.

I have had a great experience with this site. Deposit and payout methods are fairly easy. Betting is pretty self explanatory as well. Anytime I’ve had any issues (and I’ve had a few due ti my own ignorance at times) customer service has been wonderful and extremely helpful.
