NHL Odds

The NHL Playoffs are a betting favorite, the pinnacle of hockey betting is the NHL Playoffs and what makes them the much more interesting for betting on, Each NHL series is played in a 2–2–1–1–1 format series price odds combined with the nature of the NHL home-ice advantage there is always value to be found.

NHL Playoffs are a 7 game series between 16 teams across the two Eastern and Western conferences, the higher ranked team starts off by playing the first two games at home, then the next 2 are home games for the lower teams, then the series will swing back and forth between cities for the final three games. This order is also used for the Stanley Cup Playoffs which is the last game which decides the NHL Stanley Cup winner each year.

Stanley Cup Finals Odds: Vegas vs Florida Game 3 Pick and Prediction

Stanley Cup Finals Odds: Vegas vs Florida Game 3 Pick and Prediction

Over the years, we have seen too many come from behind wins to ever come out and claim that a playoff series is effectively over after just 2 games. It is, though, tempting to make that statement in the 2023 Stanley Cup Final when you consider just how dominant the Vegas Golden Knights have been in the first 2 games of this series. The true acid test comes on Thursday night when Vegas goes to Florida for their first road game of the Final. If they have a similar showing to what we have seen through the first two games, then we might be ready to declare that the Stanley Cup will indeed be headed to Sin City. The Panthers have been good throughout these playoffs, though, so I am not counting them out just yet. Florida is in as the favorite for Game 3 on the NHL Odds, with the goal total for this one set at 6.

Why bet on the Vegas Golden Knights

The Golden Knights had to battle their way through the first couple of rounds, going a game down to the Jets in Round 1 before coming back to win 4 in a row. They then got into a real slugfest with the Edmonton Oilers in Round 2 in a back-and-forth series that Vegas eventually took in 6 games. Their Western Conference Final Series against the Dallas Stars looked to be in the bag, with Vegas taking a 3-0 lead before losing 2 in a row. They did, though, go on to win Game 6 in that one. Still, the nature of that win should tell you that a 2-0 lead, with both wins coming at home, does not mean that they are going to be comfortable all the way to the cup. Vegas did look great in those 2 games, though, outscoring Florida 12-4 in a bit of a beatdown.

Why bet on the Florida Panthers

If you look back at the regular season series between the Panthers and the Golden Knights, you see that their 2 games were split, with the home team winning each time. Does that mean that the Stanley Cup Final is about to follow the same trend? The fact of the matter is that Florida needs both home games and also needs to find a way to win on the road in Vegas. One thing we are sure of is that there will be no panic among the Panthers team right now, as they were in a 1-3 hole in the opening round against the Boston Bruins, the team that finished the regular season as President’s Trophy winners. Since losing Game 4 to Boston, the Panthers went 10-1 on their way to the Final, so losing is not something they have been used to of late. This team was 10 games above .500 at home this season, so I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt ahead of this game.

Expert Pick and Series Prediction

I still think there is some fight left in this Florida Panthers team, so I believe that they can get back in this series with a win on home ice on Thursday night.
