Masters Betting from Augusta National
The Masters Tournament, is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Followed by the PGA Championship, U.S. Open, and the Open Championship, unlike the others, the Masters is always held at Augusta National. The field of players is smaller than those of the other major championships because it is an invitational event.
Jack Nicklaus has the most Masters wins, with six. Tiger Woods has five winning the latest Masters, Palmer four, and five have won three titles at Augusta.

2020 Masters: Round 1 Rundown – PGA Tour Betting
Okay MyBookie golf betting enthusiasts, with one round of action already in the books, it’s time to look ahead to what could lie ahead over the course of the coming weekend. Could the incomparable Tigers Woods repeat as the Masters champion after getting off to his best start at Augusta – ever? Will Paul Casey be able to hold on to the two-stroke lead he has over three players that are tied for second place – and what about my top five picks to win and cash in at the year’s final major? Let’s look ahead right now so you can continue making your bets against their Masters odds.
The Masters: What’s going to happen on the Weekend?
Tiger Tiger Woods Y’all – 4
The legendary Woods might be three shots behind Paul Casey heading into Friday’s second round, but the fact that he just shot his best opening round at Augusta – ever – doesn’t bode well for the rest of the field moving forward. Woods shot a bogey-free 4-under 68 on Thursday that tied his best opening round at Augusta. However, the six times that Woods has shot an opening round of 70 or better, he’s finished in the top six of the leaderboard with all five of his victories at Augusta have started with an opening-round 70.
“It was good all around. I drove it well, hit my irons well and putted well. There’s really nothing that, looking back on it, that I could have done a little bit better. Obviously I could have made a few more putts,” he told ESPN after the round. “… There is a sense of ease when I come here just because I understand how to prepare for this golf course, and there’s no other major championship that plays [in the same location] every year. … There’s nothing I felt like I did poorly. Looking forward to whenever I play [Friday] sometime.”
Paul Casey -7
The 43-year-old veteran was fantastic in the opening round and I think he’s going to stay in contention until the end despite missing the cut at Augusta a year ago. Casey recorded three straight Top 6 Masters finishes from 2015-2017 while finishing T15 at Augusta in 2018. In all, Casey has finished an impressive T20 or better eight times in 13 appearances at Augusta while finishing an identical sixth three times (2004, 2015, 2017). Casey’s best finish in the Masters was a T4 performance in 2016 and all of his solid outings tell me he’s not going anywhere – even if he doesn’t end up winning the green jacket.
It’s Five Alive!
- Webb Simpson -5
The 35-year-old Simpson shot an opening round 67 after finishing T5 here a year ago. After picking Simpson to show out in a couple of tournaments just prior to the Masters, i feel a bit foolish for leaving him out of my top five this time around as I don’t see Simpson fading from contention.
- Xander Schauffele and Justin Thomas -5
I could go on and on with some long-winded explanations on why Schauffele and Thomas weren’t in my top five, but they say it’s better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. The 27-year-old Schauffele finished T50 in his Masters debut in 2018 – before finishing T2 a year ago. The 27-year-old Thomas has improve at Augusta in each of his four appearances by going T39 in 2016, T22 in 2017, T17 in 2018 and T12 a year ago. Yeah…if you can back either one of these young stars, now if the time to jump all over it.
Four Score!
- Lee Westwood -4
- Patrick Reed -4
- Matthew Wolff -4
Out of this group of 4-under performers, I’m going with the talented Patrick Reed to really contend – or maybe you missed the 2018 champ’s opening round Shot of the Day!
Oh Rickie, You So Fine!
- Rickie Fowler -3
The 31-year-old star might still be known as the best player yet to win a major, but he’s been a consistent challenge at Augusta. In 2014, Fowler finished T5. A year later, finished T12. After missing the cut in 2016, Fowler has finished T11, second (2018) and T9 last year. No matter what’s gone done so far, it could happen for Fowler this year, even though I’m still massively disappointed his long locks are now a thing of the past!
My Top Five
- Hideki Matsuyama -4
- Jon Rahm -3
- Tony Finau -3
- Dustin Johnson – 3
- Brooks Koepka +2
Clearly, I’m a genius right? Four of my top five picks to win the 2020 Masters are looking absolutely fantastic at the moment. Then again, maybe I’m about as bright as a 3-watt light-bulb, seeing as how I also picked Brooks Koepka to challenge while leaving Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas and Tiger Woods all out of my top five! Still, with four of my top five looking great right now, I feel relatively confident one will find his way into the winner’s circle.

MyBookie’s software and lines are in line with other books, but they really stand out with the promotions. They are more frequent and offer better deals than their competitors. I’ll never go back to another book.

Great Customer experience
I have had a great experience with this site. Deposit and payout methods are fairly easy. Betting is pretty self explanatory as well. Anytime I’ve had any issues (and I’ve had a few due ti my own ignorance at times) customer service has been wonderful and extremely helpful.
