Illinois Fighting Illini +260 vs Nebraska Cornhuskers

Friday, September 20th, 2024

Illinois and Nebraska are going to begin Big Ten Conference play, and both teams are undefeated ahead of this matchup.

Nebraska comes into this game as a 7.5-point favorite, and they are a team that is riding a wave of momentum.

Illinois does not have the offense to keep up with Nebraska, but they are once again a defense that is loaded in the secondary.

Bet on the Fighting Illini to pull off this upset as they are going to make life difficult for a young quarterback.

NCAA SU Picks: Illinois Fighting Illini

Florida Gators vs Mississippi State Bulldogs +200

Saturday, September 21st, 2024

Both Florida and Mississippi State are coming into Week 4 with an overall record of 1-2, and that shows that each team has been struggling to win games.

Life is tough in the SEC, and it’s also a league that tends to lead to some great games.

Florida is favored on the road in this matchup, but they haven’t exactly been dominant on either side of the football.

It’s hard to win on the road in this conference, and taking Mississippi State at +200 to win at home is a good pick to make.

NCAA SU Picks: Mississippi State Bulldogs

Houston Tigers vs Cincinnati Bearcats -150

Saturday, September 21st, 2024

There are certain games where you should simply bet on the favorite to get the job done, and that’s the case in this matchup in Cincinnati.

The Bearcats have gotten off to a 2-1 start to the year, and they are just a few plays away from being undefeated.

Houston continues to be a program that wants to light up the scoreboard on offense, but that’s a tough way to win a football game.

Look for Cincinnati to take control of this matchup as they pick up a solid win at home.

NCAA SU Picks: Cincinnati Bearcats

Kansas Jayhawks +110 vs West Virginia Mountaineers

Saturday, September 21st, 2024

The Kansas Jayhawks entered the NCAAF season ranked inside of the Top 25, but they head into Week 4 with a record of 1-2.

West Virginia has gone 1-2 also to begin the year, and they have already blown a big lead to lose a game.

The Mountaineers are favored in this matchup due to being at home, but this isn’t a game in which that is going to make the difference.

Look for Kansas to set the tone early in this one as they pick up a nice win.

NCAA SU Picks: Kansas Jayhawks

Utah Utes vs Oklahoma State Cowboys +110

Saturday, September 21st, 2024

Utah begins Big 12 Conference play on Saturday with a tough matchup against a 3-0 Oklahoma State Cowboys team.

The Utes are a surprising favorite in this game, and that number should be one that you target right away.

Oklahoma State needs to get running back Ollie Gordon going, but this should be the week in which that happens.

Utah is still dealing with some significant injuries and going with the Cowboys is the right bet to make.

NCAA SU Picks: Oklahoma State Cowboys

How does it work?

How to Win $100 on a College Football Bet? Let’s Find Out

Winning $100 on a college football bet requires a combination of strategy, research, and a bit of luck.

Here’s a straightforward approach to help you achieve that goal:

  1. Choose Your Bet Wisely:
Look for games with favorable odds. Moneyline bets on underdogs can offer significant returns, while betting on favorites may require larger stakes for smaller profits.

  2. Understand the Odds:
Familiarize yourself with how odds work. For instance, if you bet on a team with +200 odds, a $100 wager would net you $200 in profit if they win.

  3. Bet on the Spread:
Point spread bets can increase your chances of winning. If you find a game where you believe the favored team will win by a substantial margin, placing a bet on them to cover the spread can be a solid strategy.

  4. Do Your Research:
Analyze team performance, injuries, and matchups. Knowledge of the teams involved will help you make informed decisions giving that edge you need to be on the winning side.

  5. Consider Parlay Bets:
If you’re feeling adventurous, a parlay bet—where you combine multiple bets into one—can lead to higher payouts. Just remember, all bets in the parlay must win for you to collect big.

  6. Manage Your Bankroll:
Set a betting budget and stick to it. Avoid chasing losses, and only wager what you can afford to lose.

4 Florida State Seminoles at Clemson Tigers

SU Odds: Florida State -136
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 12:00 pm | BTN
Memorial Stadium, Clemson, SC

Clemson has won their last couple of games in impressive fashion. Also, the Tigers take on rival FSU in Death Valley. So there’s a reason the Seminoles offer fair money line odds.

But although Clemson’s offense looked great in their last couple of games, the wins came versus Charleston Southern and Florida Atlantic. FSU is on another level. Seminoles win.

SMU Mustangs at TCU Horned Frogs

SU Odds: SMU +212
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 12:00 pm | ESPN
Amon G. Carter Stadium, Fort Worth, TX

TCU has put together a couple of decent games with wins against Nicholls State and a road victory over the Houston Cougars.

SMU, though, will be difficult for the Horned Frogs to beat. The Mustangs hung with Oklahoma in a 28-11 loss. Yes, SMU failed ATS versus the Sooners but it was by half a point. If the Mustangs can hold the Sooners to 28, they should be able to do the same to TCU and the Frogs defense isn’t great.

Auburn Tigers at Texas A&M Aggies

SU Odds: Auburn Tigers +244
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 12:00 pm | ESPN
Kyle Field, College Station, TX

Texas A&M’s D struggled against Miami, which is the only game we can look to when handicapping this matchup versus Auburn because the Aggies’ other two contests came versus Louisiana-Monroe and New Mexico.

Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze is an offensive genius. Also, the Tigers managed a 14-10 win over quality squad Cal in Berkeley. Auburn wins this straight up.

Maryland Terrapins at Michigan State Spartans

SU Odds: Michigan State +242
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 3:30 pm | NBC
Spartan Stadium, East Lansing, MI

Michigan State gave Mel Tucker his walking papers this week. Often, when a team loses a head coach, they step it up in the very next game.

With the Tucker Era in the rearview mirror, MSU can move on. The person helping Sparty to get back on track is non-other than Mark Dantonio. Don’t be surprised if Dantonio, who is a consultant at this point, puts together a game plan that takes advantage of Taulia Tagovailoa’s penchant for being careless with the football. Sparty gets the nod.

Bama is going back to Jalen Milroe. But the issue isn’t just at quarterback. The Alabama defense was horrendous against South Florida and on Saturday the Tide goes up against Lane Kiffin, who will know how to expose the Tide’s D. Bama loses another.

BYU Cougars at Kansas Jayhawks

SU Odds: BYU +265
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 7:00 pm | FOX

Kansas has the flashier offense. Ah, but Kedon Slovis, one of the most highly recruited quarterbacks out of high school who is with his third college team, is a Cougar.

Slovis played well enough for the Cougs to pull off a 28-21 upset victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks. Slovis can provide the same magic versus the Jayhawks.

14 Oregon State Beavers at 21 Washington State Cougars

SU Odds: Washington State +123
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 7:00 pm | FOX
Martin Stadium, Pullman, WA

Both teams are good enough to win this. Oregon State is a terrific squad. Washington State has a couple of advantages, though.

The first is that this happens in Pullman. The second is that Washington State quarterback Cameron Ward is playing like a Heisman Trophy contender, 72.2% completion rate, 986 passing yards, and 9 TD passes.

College Football Week 4 SU Pick: Washington State +123 | Bet Oregon State at Washington State

6 Ohio State Buckeyes at 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

SU Odds: Notre Dame +136
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 7:30 pm | NBC
Notre Dame Stadium, Notre Dame, IN

These teams are both very good. So it doesn’t make sense that Notre Dame is the underdog even though the game happens in South Bend.

Another reason to back the Irish is because Sam Hartman is by far the better quarterback in the matchup. Hartman is destroying defenses. Notre Dame should be the chalk. So at +136, they’re an easy pick.

Previous Betting News

As we head into Week 4 of the college football season, we are beginning to get a clear idea of which teams are the most likely to be in the playoffs once the regular season comes to an end. The Georgia Bulldogs look to be the team to beat right now, which is all the more frightening when you realize that they still have some major offensive players set to return from injury later in the year. There are also a couple of dark horses emerging, but time will tell if they are serious contenders or just going through a good patch of for, Last weekend, we went 1-2 in our SU picks, taking us to 7-2 for the season. Let’s see if we can have ourselves another winning week in Week 4 so you can get ready to keep betting against the NCAAF odds.

College Football SU Picks for Week 4

Mississippi State Bulldogs over LSU Tigers

In Week 3, it was the Bulldogs who proved to be one of the teams letting us down in our SU picks. They had to come back from a big hole against Memphis and eventually came up short after a pair of botched calls by the refs stalled the comeback. They will be back home this weekend with a massive chip on their shoulder as they get set to host SEC rival, the LSU Tigers. The Tigers have bounced back with wins over lesser opposition after an opening week loss to UCLA. They have won 17 of the last 20 meetings with Mississippi State, as well as 9 of the last 10 of those games played on the road. Despite that rather staggering trend, I am going all in with the Bulldogs.

Western Michigan Broncos over San Jose State Spartans

Let’s turn our attention away from the Power 5 for a moment for our next SU pick for Week 4. These two teams head into the weekend with matching 2-1 records, with the bookies seeing this as a close one. The Broncos are in as a slight favorite at home, and there are a few reasons why I think they are a good pick this weekend. One of the bigger ones is the fact that San Jose State has not been good in September, going 2-12 SU in their last 14 games played in that month. Combine that with Western Michigan going 9-1 SU in their last 10 home games and you have what appears to be a very solid pick.

Memphis Tigers over UTSA Roadrunners

There is always the chance that a team can suffer a bit of a letdown after recording a very big win. If that is indeed the case, then this pick might be classified as a bit of a risky one. Yes, you can argue that the Tigers only got the surprise win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Week 3 after the officials got it all horribly long late in the game, but it still goes down as a huge win. The Tigers are in as a mild favorite this weekend against the UTSA Roadrunners, which is actually an important part of our pick here. The Roadrunners have gone just 3-8 SU in the last 11 games they started as an underdog. With their win last weekend, Memphis is now 7-0 SU in their last 7 games played in the month of September.

2019 College Football Week 4 SU Betting Picks

Previous Betting News

It’s another jam-packed Saturday ahead of us, with the college football season already heading into Week 4. We are already starting to see some separation at the top, with the best teams in the nation laying down some pretty big markers in the opening few weeks. There are some games coming this weekend that could shake things up, though, so we have lots to cover here. We have picked out 4 of the best SU NCAAF Betting picks for College Football Week 4, but we will also have ATS and O/U selections, too, so be sure to be on the lookout for those.

2019 College Football Week 4 SU Betting Picks

Utah Utes over USC Trojans

While most of the attention this weekend will be focused on the Saturday games, we have a very decent game set to go on Friday night. The PAC 12 would appear to be rather wide-open this season, with the Utes looking like a genuine contender to win the conference.

They come into this one with a perfect 3-0 record, as well as a defense that is allowing just 14 ½ PPG through the first 3 weeks of the season. The Utes are 10-3 SU in their last 13, as well as being 14-2 SU in their last 16 September games. It’s never easy to win on the road at USC, but I think the Utes get the job done on Friday night.

California Golden Bears over Ole Miss Rebels

I am always on the lookout for a bit of an underdog on the weekend, and I think we might have one here. The California Golden Bears will go on the road to face Ole Miss as a 2 ½ point underdog, but I think they might just come away with the win.

The Golden Bears do not have an explosive defense at all, but they do tend to keep things close, giving themselves a chance to win every single time. Week 4 has been the Achilles heel for this teams, with just 1 win in their last 8 attempts, but they are going against a Rebels team that has just 2 wins in their last 8. Mild upset here.

Michigan Wolverines over Wisconsin Badgers

You hate to think of any game in Week 4 of the season as a playoff elimination game, but that is exactly what we are getting here. This is especially true for the Michigan Wolverines, as they have not looked particularly good in their 2 wins this season. Wisconsin, on the other hand, has been a juggernaut, racking up 111 total points in their 2 wins.

The team that loses this one is going to have a tough time winning their division and an even tougher time winning the conference. Michigan have been making a lot of mistakes through their first 2 games, which I think they clean up on the way to a win.

Georgia Bulldogs over Notre Dame Fighting Irish

The National TV primetime game on Saturday night is a beauty, with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish heading south to face the Georgia Bulldogs between the hedges in Athens.

These two last met a couple of years ago, round about this stage of the season, with Georgia winning that one on the road in the same season that they went to the National Championship Game. The Dawgs will be hoping that a win here will help deliver the same path. The Bulldogs run game is ridiculously good and is what will propel them to the win.

Temple at South Florida College Football Odds & Expert Preview

When: Thursday, 7:30 PM ET Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa TV: ESPN Radio: “The Fanatic” 97.5 FM. (Temple) / AM 820 (USF) Opening College Footbal Week 4 Lines: USF -20.5

Last Meeting

As usual, the week gets started on Thursday night with an ESPN game, this time featuring American Athletic Conference foes Temple and South Florida. The Owls are defending conference champions and they only won the East Division thanks to a 46-30 win over USF in Philadelphia. Ryquell Armstead ran for a career-high 210 yards, including touchdowns of 76 and 42 yards. The Owls rushed for 319 yards overall. USF star quarterback Quinton Flowers threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score, but he was shaken up in the fourth quarter trying to dive for a first down. He didn’t return.

Week 3 Results

Temple (2-1) comes off a 29-21 win over a bad UMass team. That should have been a blowout. After UMass took a 7-3 lead with 2:23 left in the second quarter, Temple sprung off 16 unanswered points and grinded out a gritty win. Temple quarterback Logan Marchi connected on two quick touchdown passes to close out the first half — a 30-yard TD toss to Adonis Jennings and then an 11-yarder to Keith Kirkwood with 10 seconds left in the second quarter. Defensively, Temple sacked UMass QB Andrew Ford nine times but also allowed him to throw for 377 yards.

No. 21 South Florida (3-0), the AAC favorite, beat Illinois 47-23 last Friday. The Bulls had 680 yards of offense – a school record against an FBS opponent – and rolled to their first-ever win over a Big Ten foe. USF finished with the second-most yards in program history and gained 376 yards on the ground as the program logged three 100-yard rushers for the second time in its 21-year history. Flowers rushed for a game-high 106 yards and tied his career high with four touchdown passes during his 386-yard night.

Flowers added a touchdown run to tie Marlon Mack for the USF career record of 32. His four touchdown passes on the night moved his career total to 54, good for second all-time at USF.

College Football Week 4 Betting Trends

Utah at Arizona College Football Odds & Expert Preview

When: Friday, 10:30 PM ET Where: Arizona Stadium TV: Fox Sports 1 Stream: Fox Sports Go Radio: (Utah) / (Arizona) Opening College Week 3 Lines: Utah -3

Last Meeting

Utah beat Pac-12 South foe Arizona 36-23 in Salt Lake City last year. Utes quarterback Troy Williams ran for two touchdowns and threw another. Utah trailed 14-12 at halftime after committing 11 first-half penalties. Arizona scored on the first snap of the game when Brandon Dawkins connected with Shun Brown for a 75-yard TD pass. After beating Arizona’s Rich Rodriguez, Utah coach Kyle Whittingham thus now has defeated every active Pac-12 coach since joining the conference in 2011.

Week 3 Results

No. 23 Utah (3-0) beat San Jose State 54-16 to move into the AP Top 25. The Utes had 501 yards of total offense against their guests from the Mountain West Conference. The surprise, however, comes in that 341 of those yards were generated via the passing game as SJSU can't stop the run. The Utes attempted more passes (44) than runs (40). Eight players caught passes, and six caught two or more. Tyler Huntley became the first Utes quarterback with back-to- back 300-yard passing games since Brian Johnson in 2008. Huntley tossed four touchdowns and went 30-for- 41 on his way to a career-high 341 passing yards against SJSU. Darren Carrington had nine catches for 153 yards and three scores.

Arizona (2-1) slaughtered UTEP 63-16. Dawkins scored six touchdowns — three passing and three rushing. Dawkins, who played only one series in the fourth quarter, threw for 155 yards on 18-of-22 passing and ran for 143 yards on 13 carries. Arizona came into the game as a 25-point favorite, but struggled in the first quarter against winless UTEP before scoring 28 unanswered points.
