Betting on December Boxing Fights Tonight

On Saturday, the two best heavyweights in the world resume their rivalry when undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk takes on Tyson Fury in one boxing’s most anticipated rematches.

Before Usyk versus Fury II, Isaac Lowe takes on Lee McGregor and Moses Itauma battles Demsey McKean.

Also, Peter McGrail is in action against Rhys Edwards.

Check out boxing odds, analysis, and free picks for what should be a great day of boxing action in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Writer’s Boxing Picks Happening This Weekend

Moses Itauma -1800 vs Demsey McKean +720

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – DAZN PPV

22-1 Demsey McKean has 14 knockout wins to his credit.

McKean lost his last bout but that was versus Filipo Hrgovic, one of the better boxers in the division.

Still, although McKean has a shot, he’s tough to back agianst Moses Itauma.

The 19 year old has scored 8 stoppage wins from 10 victories.

Itauma is on the verge of breaking out as a superstar.

Itauma ends McKean’s night before the seventh.

Boxing Pick: Moses Itauma

Serhii Bohachuk -1000 vs Ishmael Davis +630

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – DAZN PPV

Underdog Ishmael Davis is 13-1 with 6 stoppage victories.

Davis lost his last to Josh Kelly but it was by majority decision in a close bout.

Before losing to Kelly, the +630 dog had won 4-of-5 via knockout or technical knockout.

Serhii Bohachuk also lost his last via majority decision.

But Bohachuk lost to then 21-0 Vergil Ortiz Jr.

Bohachuk has scored 23 stoppage wins from his 24 victories.

The man can brawl or box.

The fave gets it done.

Boxing Pick: Serhii Bohachuk

Peter McGrail -600 vs Rhys Edwards +370

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – DAZN PPV

McGrail versus Edwards should be a good bout.

Edwards is the underdog.

However, the dog has the flashier record, going 16-0.

But Edwards doesn’t have as much power as McGrail.

The chalk in this is 10-1 with 6 stoppage victories.

McGrail’s power advantage is the reason he’s the favorite.

But although McGrail should be the chalk, -600 makes the fave an underlay.

Taking a shot on the dog at +370 to box his way to a win makes sense.

Boxing Pick: Rhys Edwards

Isaac Lowe +156 vs Lee McGregor -210

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – DAZN PPV

Lowe versus McGregor projects as one of the night’s most competitive bouts.

A deeper dive into the records reveals that the expectation of a close fight may not come to fruition.

Lowe’s 2 loses have come via knockout.

McGregor is 14-1-1 with 11 knockout wins.

The favorite’s lone loss was via decision.

If McGregor can get to Lowe, he can finish the dog before the final bell.

Boxing Pick: Lee McGregor

Tyson Fury +126 vs Oleksandr Usyk -154

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – DAZN PPV

Undisputed Heavyweight Championship

Usyk versus Fury was one of boxing’s best matches in the past decade.

The undisputed champ did enough to win a decision.

Fury believes he has the necessary strategy to turn the tables on Usyk in the rematch.

Ah, but Usyk never goes into a rematch with the same strategy.

In fact, Usyk switched up his strategy from fight to fight.

The problem with beating a fighter of Oleksandr’s sill set is that you don’t know what to expect.

He’s one of the best in boxing history at switching it up from round to round.

No matter what Fury does, Usyk will have an answer.

Boxing Pick: Oleksandr Usyk

How to Bet on Boxing tonight? Let’s Find Out

How to Bet on Boxing Tonight: A Quick Guide

Betting on boxing tonight is easy and exciting, but it’s important to approach it with strategy to maximize your chances of success. Whether you’re betting on a major fight like Usyk vs Fury or smaller bouts, here’s how you can get started:

1. Choose Your Boxing Betting Site

  • First, you’ll need to sign up for a reputable sportsbook or betting site that offers odds on boxing matches. Look for one with good reviews, secure payment options, and competitive odds.

2. Check the Boxing Odds

  • Once you’re logged in, head to the boxing section and find the fights scheduled for tonight. You’ll see betting odds for each fighter, which can be expressed in moneyline, decimal, or fractional formats. The odds represent how much you can win based on your stake.

3. Types of Bets You Can Place

  • Moneyline Bet:
The simplest form of betting where you bet on who will win the fight. A fighter with negative odds (e.g., -200) is the favorite, and a fighter with positive odds (e.g., +300) is the underdog.
  • Over/Under Rounds:
Bet on whether the fight will go over or under a certain number of rounds. This type of bet is ideal for those who think the fight will either end early or go the distance.
  • Method of Victory:
Predict how the fight will end—whether it’s by knockout (KO), technical knockout (TKO), decision, or draw. This can offer higher odds since it’s a more specific bet.
  • Round Betting:
Bet on which round you think the fight will end in. This is a riskier bet but can offer big rewards, especially for high-profile fights like Usyk vs Fury.
  • Prop Bets:
Some sportsbooks offer boxing prop bets, where you can wager on unique aspects of the fight, such as whether a certain punch type (e.g., uppercut) will land or whether a fighter will score a knockdown.

4. Research the Fighters

  • Review Recent Form:
Before placing your bet, look at the fighters’ recent performances. Check their win-loss records, style of fighting, and how they’ve performed in past bouts.
  • Fight Styles:
Some fighters may have a style that works well against certain types of opponents. This could influence whether a fight goes the distance or ends early.
  • Injury Reports:
Make sure there are no major injuries affecting the fighters, as these can alter a fighter’s performance and impact the odds.

5. Place Your Bet

  • Once you’ve done your research and selected the type of bet, enter the amount you want to wager and confirm your bet on the site.

6. Watch the Fight and Enjoy

  • After placing your bet, sit back and enjoy the excitement of the fight! Many sportsbooks also offer live streaming for boxing matches, so you can follow the action in real-time while keeping track of your bet.

Bonus Tips:

  • Check for Special Boxing Promos: Many sportsbooks offer free bets, boosted odds, or parlay specials for major fights. These can increase your potential returns on a successful bet.
  • Bet Responsibly: Betting should be fun and within your limits. Make sure to set a budget and avoid chasing losses.

Betting on December Boxing Fights Tonight

There aren’t any championship bouts this weekend.

But just because there are no titles at stake in this weekend’s top boxing matches, it doesn’t mean there are zero great fights.

Two of the best in their division step into the ring in separate bouts on Saturday.

Murodjon Akhmadaliev throws down against Ricardo Franco and Jaime Munguia takes on Bruno Surace.

Which top boxers get it done?

Keep reading for boxing odds, analysis, and free picks.

Writer’s Boxing Picks Happening This Weekend

Stephen McKenna -526 vs Lee Cutler +330

Liverpool, England

Underdog Lee Cutler is 14-1 with 7 stoppage wins.

Cutler’s loss came way back in 2021.

Since then, he’s won 7 straight.

He’s fighting well right now and offers decent odds.

Stephen McKenna is undefeated with a 15-0 record.

The thing about McKenna is that he’s got terrific power.

Not only does McKenna have power but he knows how to finish as evidenced by the 14 knockout wins.

Back the chalk to cash.

Boxing Pick: Stephen McKenna

Gary Cully -104 vs Maxi Hughes -127

Monte Carlo, Monaco – DAZN

The slight dog in this is 18-1 with 10 stoppage wins.

Gary Cully for sure deserves a long look to beat Maxi Hughes.

Since falling to Jose Felix in 2023, Cully has won 2 straight via decision.

Hughes has more experience but he’s much older and may have trouble recovering from losses to Geroge Kambosos and William Zepeda even though he won his last.

Back Cully to cash.

Boxing Pick: Garcy Cully

Cheavan Clarke -400 vs Leonardo Mosquea +340

Both Clarke and Mosquea are undefeated boxers.

The reason for the vast chasm in odds is because the underdog in this has just 9 stoppage wins from 17 bouts and has fought primarily in France.

Clarke is 10-0 with 7 knockout wins and has fought in England.

Clarke has great power.

It’s doubtful Mosquea has ever felt the type of power that Clarke possesses.

Boxing Pick: Cheavan Clarke

Murodjon Akhmadaliev -2273 vs Ricardo Franco +790

Monte Carlo, Monaco – DAZN

Ricardo Franco will fight hard but he doesn’t have much chance against one of the higher ranked super bantamweights in the sport.

After losing a split decision to Marlon Taples in 2023, Akhmadaliev bounced back with a knockout victory over Kevin Gonzalez.

Ricardo Franco has built a nice 30-4 record by fighting low level boxers in Mexico.

In the old days we called that the taxi driver boxing circuit.

Now it’s the Uber driver boxing circuit.

Akhmadaliev wins this via KO.

Boxing Pick: Murodjon Akhmadaliev

Jaime Munguia -3030 vs Bruno Surace +890

Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico – ESPN+

Munguia takes on Surace in Tijuana.

So the crowd should be behind Munguia.

The France based Surace has a nice undefeated record but he has just 4 stoppage wins from 25 bouts.

Munguia has should have no trouble ending this before the sixth.

Surace doesn’t have the power to contend with a top middleweight like Munguia.

Look for a knockout prop and go under the total rounds.

Boxing Pick: Jaime Munguia

Betting on December Boxing Fights Tonight

Emanuel Navarrete and Oscar Valdez run it back on Saturday night.

The pair fought in 2023 where Navarrete won a unanimous decision.

Valdez believes he can make the necessary adjustments to get to the champ.

Before Navarrete and Valdez throw down, Robeisy Ramirez is the favorite in a title bout against Rafael Espinoza.

Check out boxing odds, analysis, and free picks for five of this Saturday’s top bouts.

Writer’s Boxing Picks Happening This Weekend

Henry Lebron -800 vs Christopher Diaz +460

San Juan, Puerto Rico – DAZN

Diaz versus Lebron should be an entertaining fight.

The dog doesn’t have much shot, though.

Christopher Diaz is 29-4 with 19 stoppage wins.

But the underdog has fought suspect competition.

Henry Lebron is 19-0 with 10 knockout wins.

Lebron is due for a KO victory after winning his last 3 via decision.

Consider a knockout prop.

Boxing Pick: Henry Lebron

Liam Paro -127 vs Richardson Hitchins -104

IBF Junior Welterweight Title
San Juan, Puerto Rico – DAZN

Both Paro and Hitchens are undefeated.

The slight dog in this, Hitchins, is 18-0 with 7 stoppage victories.

Hitchins fought great against Jose Zepeda and Gustavo Lemos in this last 2.

Paro is 25-0 with 15 wins via TKO or KO.

The favorite has more power than Hitchins but Richardson is the better boxer.

Hitchins gets it done in what should be one of the night’s most competitive bouts.

Boxing Pick: Richardson Hitchins

Lindolfo Delgado -1000 vs Jackson Marinez +530

Phoenix, Arizona – ESPN/ESPN+

Delgado wins this. Lindolfo is 21-0 with 15 stoppage victories.

He heads into this bout against Marinez off a hard fought split decision victory over good Brian Flores.

Jackson Marinez is 22-3.

Marinez’s last 3 wins came in fights in Puerto Rico.

Before those bouts, the 33 year old had lost 2 straight to Richard Commey and Frank Martin.

Don’t be surprised if the chalk ends Marinez’s night before the final bell.

Boxing Pick: Lindolfo Delgado

Rafael Espinoza -104 vs Robeisy Ramirez -128

WBO Featherweight Title
Phoenix, Arizona – ESPN/ESPN+

The first fight between Espinoza and Ramirez was a great fight.

Robeisy lost a majority decision.

Since the loss, Ramirez has garnered a TKO victory over Brandon Benitez.

Rafael Espinoza is 25-0 with 21 stoppage wins.

He’s close to a top 10 pound-for-pound boxer.

The odds make the dog more than playable.

Ramirez will fight hard but Espinoza’s experience and ability to change strategy during a fight leads him to victory.

Boxing Pick: Rafael Espinoza

Emanuel Navarrete -319 vs Oscar Valdez +222

WBO Junior Lightweight Title
Phoenix, Arizona – ESPN/ESPN+

Navarrete lost his last bout to Denys Berinchyk.

The Ukrainian used his boxing IQ to win a split decision over Navarrete.

Valdez is a different matchup for Emanuel.

Oscar struggled with Navarrete’s length in the first bout.

There’s no reason to believe Navarrete doesn’t use his length in the rematch the same way, jabbing Valdez to no end and then taking looping power shots.

Oscar can fight his fight and he’d still find it difficult to outpoint Emanuel.

Unless Navarrete goes in flat and does something off script, he wins this.

Boxing Pick: Emanuel Navarrete

Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week – December 4th

Previous Betting News

If you’re a boxing fan and betting enthusiasts that is ticked off about Saturday night’s strange draw outcome between heavyweights, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury (who isn’t?) and you’re looking for some more action-packed affairs that are all offering a bunch of outstanding betting value, then you’ve come to the right place.

Thanks to the pair of expert picks that you’re about to get, you’re going to have two great chances to cash in with a pair of potentially winning boxing wagers. Now, let’s get down to business.

Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week – December 4th

Claressa Shields (7-0, 2 KOs) vs. Femke Hermans (9-1, 3 KOs)

10 rounds, for Shields’ IBF/WBA/WBC Women’s Middleweight Title

23-year-old two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Claressa Shields stands 5’10” with a 68-inch reach. The Flint, Michigan native has won all seven of her professional fights since winning the gold medal in 2016 and she comes into this bout off a 10t round unanimous decision win over Hannah Rankin in November that helped her retain her WBA and IBF middleweight titles while winning the vacant WBC title.

28-year-old super middleweight titleholder Femke Hermans will move down in weight to take on Shields Hermans (9-1, 3 KOs), 28, of Belgium, won a vacant super middleweight with a unanimous decision over Nikki Adler in May and won a pair of bouts after that including her unanimous decision win over Ester Konecna in September.

Prediction

Femke Hermans is no doubt, a gifted fighter in her own right, but she’s not going to beat the clearly superior Claressa Shields in this contest, particularly with Shields looking to set a mega-fight against undisputed women’s welterweight world champion Cecilia Braekhus.

“I’m so excited to be fighting live on HBO and to share the stage with Cecilia Braekhus on Dec. 8,” said Shields, who held unified belts at super middleweight before vacating to drop down to middleweight. “It’s a great step forward for women’s boxing to have the two best female fighters in the world on the same card on worldwide television.”

Yeah, there’s pretty much no way that Claressa Shields loses this bout. I like her in a unanimous decision win over Hermans.

Boxing Betting Pick: Claressa Shields Via Unanimous decision.

Vasiliy Lomachenko (11-1, 9 KOs) vs. Jose Pedraza (25-1, 12 KOs)

12 rounds, WBA/WBO lightweight unification

30-year-old Puerto Rico native Vasiliy Lomachenko stands 5’7” and has a 65-inch reach. The southpaw slugger has recorded nine KOs in his 12 career fights and comes into this affair off a thrilling 10t round TKO win over Jorge Linares in May.

29-year-old Puerto Rico native Jose Pedraza stands 5’8½” and has a 70.5-inch reach. Pedraza has recorded a dozen KOs in his career and comes into this bout off a 12-round unanimous decision win over Ray Beltran in August.

Prediction

If you didn’t know it before, several respected boxing experts and publications believe that Vasiliy Lomachenko is the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter on the planet despite his lack of a lengthy career. For this bout, I’m going to advise you to back Vasiliy Lomachenko to get the win in a tough bout that looks like an absolute thriller just waiting to happen.

Jose Pedraza is a gifted fighter in his own right and I don’t expect him to simply roll over in this bout, but I believe that Lomachenko has the edge in speed, defense and definitely, punching power. Lomachenko wins this one, but it’s going the distance.

Boxing Betting Pick: Vasiliy Lomachenko Via Unanimous Decision
