Ask any player on any given team what their goal is this season, and they will all tell you that it is to win the Super Bowl.
It’s the stock answer, but after the first 2 weeks of the new season, some players still giving that answer are perhaps not being totally honest.
My NFL Betting Analysis in the Week 3
I mean, does anyone really think that the Carolina Panthers are going to make a change at the QB position and suddenly be unstoppable?
Of course not, just the same as fans of teams out to a fast start might not be getting too excited just yet.
For me, it takes 4 or 5 games to get a true handle on any team, so let’s start talking about Week 2 and a pair of teams looking for a bounce back win.
The 49ers and Rams are both out to 1-1 starts and will be looking to avoid dropping below .500 this weekend. The 49ers are currently sitting as a 6 ½ point road favorite, with the total set at 43 ½.
^San Francisco 49ers Odds -295
There are a lot of fans and pundits, me included, who believe that the San Francisco 49ers are Super Bowl bound this season.
They certainly looked the part in Week 1, easily taking care of the New York Jets with a 32-19 win.
The expectation was that they would continue to roll in Week 2, but they fell foul of one of the surprise teams of the season with a 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
The 49ers can point to injuries, especially Christian McCaffrey, as part of the problem, but this is a team that is supposed to be deep at all positions.
They have won 10 of their last 14 overall and are 9-2 SU in their last 11 versus the Rams.
In road games against the Rams, the 49ers have covered the spread in 5 of their last 6 visits.
The UNDER has hit in 6 of their last 8 played in the month of September.

LA Rams Odds +228
If you want to talk about injuries, you need to talk about the LA Rams, who are seeing their starters drop like flies, with Cooper Kupp being the most notable name on the injured list.
They may have one of the best QBs in the league in Matthew Stafford, but when your main weapon is sitting on the sidelines, he can only do so much.
The Rams opened up with a 26-20 loss to the Detroit Lions, which was probably not totally unexpected, but their 41-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals was a clear indication that this team needs to start getting healthy guys back ASAP.
This is a team that is still difficult to beat in their own building, as they have won 5 of 6 at SoFi Stadium.
They are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games played in Week 3, with the OVER hitting in 7 of their last 10 games overall.

San Francisco 49ers vs Los Angeles Rams Betting Prediction
With both teams at full strength, I think this might be a great battle, but I think the Rams are going to continue to struggle on offense with some big-name players missing.
I like the 49ers to win and cover, and I like the UNDER.

Rams vs 49ers Week 18, 2023/24 Season
Week 18 of the National Football League will feature a pair of NFC West teams to finish the regular season. The Los Angeles Rams will take on the San Francisco 49ers, but both teams do not have a ton of incentive to win this game. The Rams are 9-7 on the season, which is second in the NFC West. The Rams are 6th in the NFC, and have sealed their spot in the postseason. The Rams will either be the 6 of 7 seed, and take on the Lions, Eagles or Cowboys in the postseason. Los Angeles is coming off a road win at the New York Giants.
For the 49ers, they are the top seed in the NFC. The 49ers won the NFC West, and are 12-4 on the season. San Francisco will sit out the first round of the postseason, and then potentially get two games at home. They will watch the first weekend of the postseason to determine who their first opponent will be.
MyBookie has the NFL line for this NFC West showdown with the 49ers as -4 favorites over the Rams and the total is listed at 41 playing in Week 18 of the NFL season.

McVay and his Rams
The Los Angeles Rams, led by head coach Sean McVay are back in the postseason following their season off last year. The Rams have won 4 of 8 on the road this season, and are 4-1 against the NFC West, with their lone loss the first time they took on San Francisco. The Rams have scored 383 points and allowed 357.
Los Angeles is led offensively by Matthew Stafford under center. The quarterback is 35 yards away from 4,000 on the season. Not only does Stafford have one of the best receivers in the game in Cooper Kupp, he has seen Puka Nacua emerge with nearly 1,500 yards and five touchdowns on the season.
Kyren Williams has been great for the Rams as well. The running back has carried the football 228 times this season, for more than 1,100 yards and 12 touchdowns. The Rams are scoring 23.9 points per game.
No CMC for 49ers
The biggest news for San Francisco is the loss of running back Christian McCaffrey for this game. The good news though is the team expects him back for the postseason. The former Stanford running back will finish the regular season 41 yards shy of 1,500 rushing yards in 2023.
Brock Purdy is questionable to play in this game as well. The signal caller has 4,280 yards and 31 touchdowns. His top target has been Brandon Aiyuk, who has 72 receptions, 1,317 yards and 7 touchdowns. If it is not Aiyuk or McCaffrey, it’s George Kittle or Deebo Samuel for the San Francisco offense.
The 49ers have four losses on the season. In each of those four games, the 49ers scored less than 20 points in the game. In every game they have won this season, they have scored 27 or more points.
Tough Game in the Bay
This is going to be a tough game to handicap. Many of the Week 18 games are going to be just like this. Guys are going to sit out, and even guys that are going to play, may still be a little more limited than usual. The Rams are going to still give a great effort, as are the 49ers.
Both teams are well coached, so do not be surprised if this is a very competitive game. When we have so many unknowns, taking the team with the points is the bet to make. Take the Los Angeles Rams to cover this spread. Bet the Rams +4 over the 49ers.

NFL Week 4 Betting Preview for Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco
One of the top rivalries in the NFL happens on Monday night when the Los Angeles Rams head up the Pacific Coast Highway to Santa Clara to take on the San Francisco 49ers. San Francisco has started the season 1-2. So the home team is motivated for a victory. Will Jimmy G. lead the Niners to a victory and cover? Or will Matthew Stafford and the defending champs pull off the upset win? See below for NFL Lines, analysis, and a free pick for Rams at 49ers.

Why bet on LAR versus San Francisco?
After their first game, where Buffalo decimated the Rams 31-10 at Sofi Stadium, Los Angeles had every right to fold. Instead, the Rams rallied for 2 straight victories. The victory in NFL Week 3 impressed big time because it happened versus NFC West rival Arizona and it happened on the road. Los Angeles knows San Francisco is their top competition for the division. Expect the Rams to be fired up to win this.

Why bet on San Francisco versus LAR?
In week 3, San Francisco blew a lead versus the Denver Broncos. The 49ers had no business losing the game. To be fair, the contest happened in Denver. Not only that, but Jimmy Garoppolo didn’t expect to start this season. Jimmy G. should run the offense much better on Monday night. The Niners have a real shot of beating the Rams.

Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers Final Betting Prediction
If you liked the Rams or 49ers before Monday, nothing happened over the weekend or this morning that will convince you other wise. But if you do like LAR, you must take into consideration a couple of factors.
First, the Rams’ rushing attack is close to nonexistent. Second, Los Angeles has turned the ball over 7 times this season while the 49ers field the most opportunistic defense in the league.
There are other things to think about. Even with Jalen Ramsey on the field, the Rams rank twenty-first against the pass. Then there’s the trend that tells us the Niners cover at home.
One trend that we didn’t add to this blog but is also significant is how San Francisco has covered in the last 5 head to head meetings. All things considered, SF is the bet to win and cover.
NFL Week 4 Pick: San Francisco 49ers -1.5
NFL Week 4, Rams vs 49ers
NFL Week 4 Betting Preview for LA Rams at San Francisco
In Week Four NFL action, the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers square off in an NFC West division showdown in San Francisco. The Los Angeles Rams will try to build on their 20-12 victory against the Arizona Cardinals last time out to improve to 2-1 on the year.
The San Francisco 49ers will look to avoid dropping their third game as they moved to 1-2 on the season after an 11-10 setback to the Denver Broncos. Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming match between the 49ers and the Rams so you can get all set to bet against their NFL Odds.
Rams Look To Remain on the Top of NFC West Standings
The Los Angeles Rams have won two straight games after being humiliated by the Buffalo Bills in Week one. Los Angeles has stepped up in a major way, including a 20-12 victory against the Arizona Cardinals in the desert last week.
Cooper Kupp continued his dominance, scoring his fourth touchdown on the year, while Matthew Stafford added 248 yards passing and Cam Akers rushed for a touchdown.
The Rams’ offense has gotten off to a little bit of a slow start as they rank 25th in total offense (306.3) and 15th in points per game (20.3). With four touchdown throws and five interceptions, Matthew Stafford hopes to pick it up in conference play. LA’s offensive line ranks 25th in pass protection and has given up nine sacks on the year.
On the defensive side of the ball, Ernest Jones leads the club in tackles with 24, and Bobby Wagner and Aaron Donald both have two sacks. The defensive unit has always played well under Sean McVay, and the line has been strong, holding opponents to 93 yards rushing per game. Additionally, the defense ranks third in takeaways with seven.
49ers Looking For Spark On Offense
The 49ers enter this contest with a disappointing 1-2 record after falling to the Bears and Broncos, with their only win coming against the lowly Seahawks. The offense is struggling and will have Jimmy Garrapolo under center moving forward. They will look to bounce back in primetime.
San Francisco’s offense, with the exception of its performance against a feeble Seattle Seahawks defense, has seemed to be inactive, missing a reliable rushing game and exciting plays.
Staters Jeff Wilson and Trey Lance both hit the IR in game one and game two, respectively, and they will potentially be without their starting tackle Trent Williams. The offense has posted a dismal 323.7 yards and 15.7 points per game.
When it comes to rushing defense, both San Francisco and Los Angeles are now ranked in the top four teams in the NFL, with San Francisco’s defense playing like one of the league’s finest units and Los Angeles’ defense currently outperforming its offense. The unit has four takeaways on the year and ranks second in total defense (227).
Odds and Lines
The 49ers will be the money -120 moneyline and -1.5 point home favorite. Meanwhile, the Rams, despite their excellent play so far, are +100 moneyline and +1.5 point spread underdogs. The point total is hovering around.
What to Bet
Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers had won six straight games against the Rams before falling short 17-20 in the NFC title game the previous year. In the previous seven meetings between these two teams, the Niners have covered six of the games.
Despite this, I think there are too many factors going against the 49ers in this one. The Rams are playing excellent football, winning their last two contests, while the 49ers are dealing with a plethora of injuries. The Rams are better on both sides of the ball, and I think they will win this one outright on the road.
