Ravens vs Redskins 2019 NFL Preseason Week 4 Lines, Game Info & Analysis

Previous Betting News

The Baltimore Ravens will look to finish off their preseason campaign with an unblemished record when they hit the road to take on the Washington Commanders in their Battle of the Beltway rivalry on Thursday. With the Ravens looking to challenge for a berth in the AFC Championship game and the Skins looking to get in the postseason, let’s find out which team is offering the best value in this matchup.

Ravens vs Redskins 2019 NFL Preseason Week 4 Lines, Game Info & Analysis

  • When: Thursday August 29, 2019, 7:30 PM ET
  • Where: FedEx Field, Washington, DC
  • TV: None
  • NFL Preseason Week 4 Odds: Baltimore -6 / Total: 33.5

Head-to-Head Trends

  • Under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings.
  • Favorite is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

Why Bet On Baltimore at -6?

The Ravens moved to 3-0 on the preseason by shutting down Philadelphia en route to a commanding 26-15 win the last time out as backup quarterback Trace McSorley had a fine game by going 19 of 28 for 203 yards and two touchdowns while adding one rushing score in the win.

“I thought it was a good night just to come out and move the ball efficiently, take care of the football, play winning football,” McSorley said. “That was the goal.”

With Ravens starter Lamar Jackson being held out and veteran backup Robert Griffin III out with a thumb injury, McSorley secured his roster spot with some eye-opening play.

“I thought Trace did a heck of a job,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said.

Why Bet On Washington at +6?

The Redskins got their first win of the preseason by getting past Atlanta 19-7 last weekend as veteran quarterback Case Keenum went 9 of 14 for 101 yards and rookie signal-caller Dwayne Haskins went 7 of 13 for 74 yards while leading the Skins to three second-half scoring drives, including two set up by Atlanta fumbles.

“I’m excited to see Dwayne make some throws from the pocket,” Washington head coach Jon Gruden said. “I like some things Case did. Obviously the turnover was disturbing. But other than that I think he moved the ball pretty well and did some good things. They both have done some good things this preseason.”

Running back Derrius Guice rushed four times for 44 yards while Samaje Perine rushed four times for 16 yards and one score, but Washington has yet to name a starter for the regular season opener.

“I don’t necessarily need to be told, I guess you could say,” Keenum said. “I’m fine with however things go. I went pretty much the entire season with the Vikings not being told I was going to start until Wednesday of that week’s practice and we won 13 games that year, so that worked out all right.”

Expert Analysis and Prediction for Ravens vs Redskins

Baltimore has been fantastic defensively this preseason in not allowing more than 15 points in any of their three scrimmage contests. Not only that, but the Ravens have also put at least 26 points on the board, not to mention I love their selection of Trace McSorley in the sixth round of the NFL Draft.

Case Keenum is completely and utterly mediocre and Dwayne Haskins, while clearly athletically gifted, is also clearly not quite ready to be a starter in the NFL. The Ravens are 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games on grass and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games. I say, keep it simple, Baltimore is the better team on both sides of the ball and I expect Trace McSorley to be the best quarterback on the field in this matchup.

Pick: Baltimore 24 Washington 14

Redskins vs Packers 2019 NFL Week 14 Lines, Game Info & Betting Pick

Previous Betting News

If you regularly follow the NFL, you have probably already decided who you think will win the Super Bowl this season. If your choice is the same as the one you had prior to the start of the season, then allow me to congratulate you. It is tough to make a pick and stick with it, especially when you see a team emerge that suddenly looks to be unbeatable.

The Baltimore Ravens are the team that have emerged of late to become a favorite, although the Seattle Seahawks are also giving them a run for their money. This is proving to be a tough year to make a pick, though, as there are a lot of very good teams who could get hot at just the right time when the playoffs come around.

One team that certainly falls into that category is the Green Bay Packers, who will be looking to take a firm grip on the NFC North when they host the Washington Commanders on Sunday. The Packers are in as a 13-point favorite against the Redskins, with the point total for this one set at 41 ½.

Redskins vs Packers 2019 NFL Week 14 Lines, Game Info & Betting Pick

  • When: Sunday, December 8 at 1 PM EST
  • Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay
  • TV: FOX

Why bet on the Washington Redskins?

The Washington Redskins record is among the worst in the league, but you have to give this team some credit for not totally tanking when it would certainly have been easy to do so. Dwayne Haskins is starting to look a little more comfortable as an NFL starting QB, with the end result being that the Redskins have now picked up back to back wins over the Detroit Lions and the Carolina Panthers.

This is a much tougher proposition, though, as it’s never easy to go to Lambeau Field and come away with anything other than a loss. The Redskins are 3-6 SU in their last 9 meetings with the Packers and are just 4-15 SU in their last 19 overall. One angle worth looking at is the point spread, with Washington going 6-2 ATS in their last 8 versus the NFC North.

Why bet on the Green Bay Packers?

The Green Bay Packers had themselves a poor showing a couple of weeks ago in a 37-8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers that had some people questioning their ability to get out of the NFC once the playoffs begin. It is perhaps a little too early to be writing off a team that is 9-3 on the season and in control of their division.

The Packers still have a legitimate shot at landing one of the top 2 seeds in the conference, but they do need to finish strong and take advantage of their games against lesser teams. They did that last week with a 31-13 win over the Giants and will be looking for more of the same here. Green bay has won 5 of their last 6 at home and are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 versus teams from the NFC East.

Redskins vs Packers Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

While the Packers won big against the Giants last week, their performance was not as convincing as the score suggests. Still, you would expect them to come out and get the job done at home against inferior opposition.

Washington Redskins 13 Green Bay Packers 35
