Argentina takes on Ecuador on Thursday, which means the winner of Canada versus Venezuela is likely to face off against the Albiceleste in the Copa America Semifinals.

Among the two squads, the Venezuelans are a slight favorite.

It’s difficult to argue against Venezuela being the chalk in this matchup.

The South American nation surprised everyone by winning Group B over Ecuador and Mexico.

Venezuela won all three of their matches.

Canada had a tougher task because the Canadians faced off against Argentina, Chile, and Peru.

Both Chile and Peru were supposed to beat Canada and move on from the group.

The Canadians hung with the Albiceleste in a 1-0 loss.

Venezuela should be the favorite in this, but Canada will have the best player on the pitch in forward Jonathan David.

The Canadians get it done.

Copa America Pick: Canada

Colombia vs Panama

Spread Line: Colombia -1.5 -108 / Panama +1.5 -108
Moneyline: Panama +820 / Colombia -300 / Draw +400
Goals Total: O 2.5 -132 / U 2.5 -105
Friday, July 5 at 6:00 pm ET | FS1
State Farm Stadium, Glendale, Arizona

Colombia is a massive favorite. The South American soccer power should be.

The Colombians beat Paraguay and a determined Costa Rican squad while drawing 1-1 with Brazil.

On Saturday, Colombia faces a team that doesn’t come close to their talent level.

The Panamanians have won 2 straight.

Both victories came against bad soccer nations, the United States and Bolivia.

The last time Panama took on a soccer squad on Colombia’s level, they lost 3-1 when Uruguay absolutely dominated them.

Panama falls by at least 2 goals.

Lay the -1.5 on the South American team.

Copa America Pick: Colombia -1.5

Brazil vs Uruguay

Spread Line: Brazil -0.5 +140 / Uruguay +0.5 -197
Moneyline: Uruguay +184 / Brazil +152 / Draw +222
Goals Total: O 2.5 +124 / U 2.5 -173
Saturday, July 6 at 9:00 pm ET | FS1
Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nevada

Brazil appeared to have a breakout game in their 4-1 victory over Paraguay.

In that match, Vinicius Junior was fantastic when scoring 2 goals.

Brazil followed up the win by drawing 1-1 versus Colombia.

The draw versus the Colombians wasn’t bad, but Brazil is going to have to be much better if they hope to get by Uruguay.

No team has impressed during the Copa America, not even Argentina, as much as the Uruguayans.

Federico Valverde, Maximilian Araujo, and Darwin Nunez have keyed Uruguay’s Copa domination.

Uruguay blasted Panama 3-1, dusted Bolivia 5-0, and sent the U.S. packing in a 1-0 victory.

This Uruguayan team has the goods to win the Copa. Brazil goes down in defeat.

Copa America Pick: Uruguay

Copa America Weekend Matches

The weekend slate of Copa America games will see a number of teams attempt to take important steps toward advancing to the knockout stages.

Let’s dissect the weekend matchups. Analyzing team form, recent head-to-heads, and even potential lineups can give you a strategic edge when navigating the enticing betting Copa America odds.

With defending champion Copa America champion Argentina flexing its muscles in the opener on Thursday, everyone will need to be on high alert if it wants to keep the momentum going forward.

Here’s a look at what to expect from this weekend.

United States Looks For Strong Start

Sunday, June 23, 2024

The United States only looked OK during two warm up friendlies for this event.

The Americans were embarrassed by Colombia before recording a draw against Brazil.

Now, the United States will open up this event by taking on Bolivia.

Bolivia’s World Cup qualifying run has been a disaster.

Bolivia has only picked up one win in six qualifying matches.

The United States should have more talent to outlast the Bolivias.

Christian Pulisic gives the Americans a top scoring option up top.

Matt Turner is a solid goalkeeper who plays with a club in the Premier League.

Bolivia is the lowest-seeded South American team.

During its previous three international matches, Bolivia has lost by a combined score of 7-1.

Don’t expect much difference in this one.

The United States is -550 to win in regulation, while Bolivia is +1450 to win in regulation.

The match is +600 to end in a draw.

The over/under has been set at 2.5 goals.

Expect the United States to win by more than 1.5 goals.

Copa American Pick: United States

Ecuador Hopes to Get off to a Good Start

Saturday, June 22, 2024

Venezuela hasn’t been playing many warmups for this competition.

Since finishing with a scoreless draw with Guatemala in March, Venezuela hasn’t played a match.

That may call into question exactly how prepared Venezuela is to take on Ecuador.

Ecuador, meanwhile, has won two recent friendlies against Honduras and Bolivia.

Ecuador did pla tougher competition as well, but lost to Argentina and Italy.

Ecuador ws shut out in both matches.

Ecuador will have a few Bundesliga players in the lineup with Piero Hincapie and William Pacho lined up to start.

This is a match to keep an eye on the possibility of an upset.

Ecuador and Venezuela played to a scoreless draw during their last meeting in World Cup qualifying.

Ecuador is -120 to win on the three-way moneyline, while Venezuela is +360.

The match is +240 to end in a draw. Back this match to go under the total.

Copa American Pick: Ecuador

Mexico Wants to Reclaim Throne as Regional Power

Saturday, June 22, 2024

El Tri still has a solid soccer team. But Mexico hasn’t seemed like itself recently.

El Tri has been letting the United States get the upper hand in recent matchups.

Opening this tournament with Jamaica should help Mexico.

While the Reggae Boyz have several solid players, and have been spunky in recent competition, Jamaica has never won a match in Copa America.

The Reggae Boyz are 0-6 all-time.

With Mexico stuck in a challenging group, this won’t want to be one where Mexico wants to give away the match.

Back El Tri to win this match at -160 on the three-way moneyline.

Copa American Pick: Mexico

2021 Copa America Matches to Wager On the Weekend: Peru vs Venezuela, Ecuador vs Brazil

Previous Betting News

Four teams in Group B at the 2021 Copa America are in action on Sunday. Peru takes on Venezuela while Brazil battles Ecuador. Brazil, which FIFA ranks third in the world, already has 9 points. The Brazilians for sure will win the group. But Peru, Ecuador, and Venezuela are fighting for the spoils. Check out Copa America odds and free picks for Peru versus Venezuela and Ecuador versus Brazil.

2021 Copa America Matches to Must Bet On June 25th

Top 2021 Copa America Matches for the Weekend

When: Sunday, June 27

Peru +120 vs Venezuela +225

When: Sunday, June 27

After 3 matches, Peru has 4 points and Venezuela has 2. But contrary to what many soccer handicappers might believe, Venezuela has played tough. After an 0-3 loss to Brazil, Venezuela forced a 0-0 draw with Colombia. In their third Copa match, the underdog in this drew 2-2 with Ecuador.

Like Venezuela, Peru picked themselves off the pitch after a Brazilian beat down. Brazil beat Peru 4-0 on June 17. The Peruvians bounced back with a 2-1 victory against Colombia and a 2-2 draw with Ecuador.

Both teams have a shot in this match. Usually when both teams have a chance, we side with the one offering the better odds. But even though both teams have a chance, it doesn’t mean that one team isn’t a better play than the other.

Peru will likely push the ball forward more than Venezuela. The gives the Peruvians more of a chance to win the match. Also, the odds on Peru are more than fair.

Soccer Pick: Peru

Ecuador +1 ½ (+100) vs Brazil -1 ½ (-133)

When: Sunday, June 27

With 2 points after 3 matches, Ecuador must pick it up if they hope to make it to the Copa America’s next round. In their first Copa match on June 13, Ecuador couldn’t get past, or secure a draw against, Columbia. The Colombians beat the Ecuadorians 2-1.

Ecuador’s second match ended in a 2-2 draw with Venezuela. Then in their third match, the Ecuadorians drew again, this time with Peru in another 2-2 contest.

Richarlison and Neymar each scored a goal in the last head-to-head. The match was a FIFA World Cup Qualifying event, which means both teams had something to play for. Brazil blanked Ecuador 2-0.

But just because the Brazilians beat their rivals by 2 goals in the last head-to-head, it doesn’t mean history will repeat itself Ecuador has forced draws in their last two matches.

They won’t beat Brazil, and they won’t even force a draw, but the Ecuadorians have a big shot of losing by 1 goal instead of 2. Ecuador on the handicap is the play.

Soccer Pick: Ecuador

2021 Copa America Matches to Wager On the Weekend: Paraguay Looking to Keep Leadership In Group B

2021 Copa America Matches to Must Bet On From June 20th to June 21st

Top 2021 Copa America Matches for the Weekend

When: Sunday, June 20 – Monday, June 21

Ecuador (-140) vs Venezuela (+390)

When: Sunday, June 20

On Thursday, June 17, Venezuela takes on Colombia. Make sure to check the results of that match before going for either squad in this. Heading into this match, Ecuador has lost 3 straight. But the Ecuadorians hung with Colombia on June 13 in a 1-0 loss. The favored team in this will also go all out since they lost their first Copa America match. Ecuador should get the victory.

Soccer Pick: Ecuador

Peru (+459) vs Colombia (-150)

When: Sunday, June 20

Until June 8, Peru had lost 4 in a row. On June 8, in a FIFA World Cup Qualifying match, Peru beat Ecuador 2-1. Colombia blasted Peru 3-0 on June 3. But Colombia must play a match on June 17 against Ecuador. The short turnaround against a Peru team, which appears to have found its footing, won’t work in Colombia’s favor. Peru is a massive underdog. But they can turn the tables on their rivals.

Soccer Pick: Peru

Chile (+225) vs Uruguay (+108)

When: Monday, June 21

In this, Uruguay could suffer the affects of a June 18 match versus Argentina. If Uruguay prevails, they will have had to play lights out. If Uruguay lost, they could be down on themselves. Heading into the contest versus Argentina, the Uruguayans have played in 2 straight draws. Chile has played in 3 straight draws heading into their June 18 game versus Bolivia. A draw in this seems likely.

Soccer Pick: Draw

Paraguay (+500) vs Argentina (-188)

When: Monday, June 21

Messi and Argentina have 4 draws and a victory in their last 5. The match against Uruguay on June 18 is huge. If Messi and Argentina get the win, they could relax in this. If they don’t, the favored Argentinians must step it up on offense. The problem Argentina has is in their backfield. The defense isn’t as solid as it should be. Paraguay beat Bolivia 3-1 in their first Copa America match. The Paraguayans are playing great. Consider backing them at the odds. More than likely, though, this ends in a draw.

Soccer Pick: Draw
