Think about Betting 2024 Euro Cup Quarterfinals

The 2024 Euro Cup Quarterfinals start off with one of the most intriguing matches of the entire tournament.

Host team and scorching Jamal Musiala led Germany head to the pitch in Stuttgart Arena to take on 16 year old wunderkind Yamal Lamine and the Spain.

Then later in the day on Friday, two traditional powers throw down when Kylian Mbappe and France go against Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal.

Which teams head to the Euro Cup Semifinals?

Underdog Germany has been absolutely terrific.

Led by 21 year old Jamal Musiala, who Man City is desperate to transfer from Bayern Munich, the Germans lone draw came by design.

After dusting Scotland 5-1 and then taking apart Hungary 2-0, Germany didn’t have to go all out against Switzerland, which is why the match ended 1-1.

Versus a talented Denmark side, the fantastic Germans got back to playing dominant soccer, beating Cristian Ericksson and the Danes 2-0.

Another step up from Germany will be required to get by Spain.

El Rojo has been the most impressive team at the tournament, handling Croatia 3-0 and Italy and Albania 1-0.

The 4-1 victory over Georgia, even though expected, impressed.

This match will come down to how well Musiala and the rest of the German side handles Spain’s multiple talented strikers and midfield.

Much has been made of Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams. Both are talented players and must be marked.

But if Germany spends too much time concentrating on Yamal and Williams, one of the best midfields, if not the best, in international soccer will take charge.

Rodri, Pedri, and Dani Olmo are as good as it gets.

Olmo doesn’t always start but wears number 10, which tells us the leadership skills he possesses.

Spain ends Germany’s dream in a thriller that may go down to extra time.

Bet the draw and then make a second bet in the extra stanza on the Spanish to get it done.

Euro Cup Quarterfinals Pick: Draw

France vs Portugal

Spread Line: France -0.5 +127 / Portugal +0.5 -163
Moneyline: Portugal +232 / France +132 / Draw +206
Goals Total: O 2.5 +147 / U 2.5 -191

In their Round of 16 victory over Belgium, France finally put it all together.

The French had been sort of sleep walking through the tournament in an uninspired 1-0 win over Austria and draws against the Netherlands and Poland.

Versus Belgium, though, France stepped it up, beating Kevin De Bruyne and the Belgians 1-0.

Jan Vertonghen got the goal in the eighty-fifth minute. But although France won, again, the French appeared to benefit from some luck.

Up until Vertonghen’s goal, Belgium had handled France’s attack.

Still, France controlled possession 55% of the time and took many more shots on goal than the Belgians.

That’s good news if you like France to beat Portugal.

The Portuguese required penalty shots to get by Slovenia. Also, Georgia upset Portugal in the group stage.

However, Portugal rested players in the match against the Georgians.

Versus Slovenia, the Portuguese dominated on the pitch.

This match is going to be closer than many expect.

Expect another Friday draw.

UEFA Euro 2020 Quarter-finals Betting Odds: Spain vs Switzerland, Italy vs Belgium

Previous Betting News

The UEFA European Championship is down to its final eight. Friday’s first quarterfinal matches pit scorching Spain against giant killer Switzerland. The second match is a battle between two of the highest-rated teams on the planet, top-ranked Belgium and seventh-ranked Italy. Will the Swiss once again upset a world power? Which team moves to the semifinals when the Azzuri and Belgians throw down? Check out Euro Cup odds, analysis, and free picks for Spain versus Switzerland and Italy against Belgium.

UEFA Euro Cup 2020 Matches to Must Bet On July 2nd

UEFA EURO 2020 Quarter Finals Games

When: Friday, July 2

Spain (-161) vs Switzerland (+398)

When: Friday, July 2

Let’s start with Spain. Few teams, if ever, can score 5 goals in a match in a tournament of this caliber. Spain has done it in back-to-back matches. In their final group stage game versus Slovakia, the Spanish trounced their opponents 5-0.

Then in Spain’s Round of 16 match, the Spanish beat Croatia 5-3. The victory against Croatia is particularly impressive because the Spanish had to deal with Real Madrid star Luka Modric and Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovasic.

But as impressive as the victory was, Inter Milano forward Ivan Perisic didn’t step onto the pitch. Without Perisic, Croatia didn’t appear to play at their highest possible level.

Also, Spain scored 2-of-5 goals late and in extra time, which means Croatia scored 3 goals against the Spanish. Finally, Spain could bounce big time. It’s difficult to score 2 goals versus top international competition, much less 5 in back-to-back matches.

No doubt, Switzerland is an underdog in this match. But there are some things to like about the team that knocked off favored France. Switzerland plays a style that should frustrate Spain.

The Swiss take their time and don’t mind playing to draws or even penalty kicks. The Swiss beat France via penalties. Switzerland requires some luck, Spain must regress from their current form, but the odds don’t justify a play on the Spanish. The odds do justify a play on the Swiss.

Soccer Pick: Switzerland

Italy (+126) vs Belgium (+216)

When: Friday, July 2

If you don’t read too much into Spain scoring 5 goals in two straight matches, or England’s 2-0 win against Germany, Italy by far has impressed the most. The Italians handled an Austrian side with 21 European club league players 2-1 in their Round of 16 match.

The game was the first where Italy allowed a goal. No doubt, the Italians will play hard. Italy would be the pick in this even if the Belgium’s were at one-hundred percent, which they most likely won’t be.

Although no official word has landed, Roberto Martinez, Belgium’s head coach, hinted that neither Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne nor Belgian captain Eden Hazard would play on Friday.

Many consider De Bruyne the best player in the world. Hazard played awesome in Belgium’s 1-0 victory over Ronaldo and Portugal. Again, we’d side with the Italians with or without Belgium’s injuries.

But the fact that De Bruyne and Hazard won’t play, or at least won’t be one-hundred percent, means Italy, at the current odds, is an overlay.

Soccer Pick: Italy

UEFA Euro 2020 Quarter-finals Betting Odds: Denmark vs Czech Republic, England vs Ukraine

Previous Betting News

EURO 2020 quarter finals matches continues on Saturday when the newly crowned tournament favorite steps onto the pitch. England is a big favorite to knock the Ukraine from the UEFA European Championships. The Ukrainians scored the second latest goal in history to beat tough Sweden, though. Will England continue their EURO 2020 run? In Saturday’s early quarter finals match, Denmark takes on the upset minded Czech Republic. Keep reading for Euro Cup odds, analysis, and free picks for Denmark versus the Czech Republic and England against the Ukraine.

UEFA Euro Cup 2020 Matches to Must Bet On July 3rd

EURO 2020 Quarter Finals Matches

When: Saturday, July 3

Denmark -101 vs Czech Republic +269

When: Saturday, July 3

Denmark is the fifth choice to win EURO 2020. England enters the quarter finals the chalk, Spain is second choice, Italy is third choice, and Belgium is the fourth choice. Only +300 separates Belgium from Denmark.

Why are the Danes suddenly a wise guy choice to take the UEFA European title? On June 12, after Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch in Denmark’s 0-1 loss to Finland, the Danes had every right to pack up their gear and head home.

But Denmark didn’t do that. Instead, the Danes fought against Belgium in a valiant 1-2 loss before ending the group stage with a brilliant 4-1 victory against Russia. Denmark blasted the Welsh 4-0 in their Round of 16 match.

The Danes are on fire. No wonder they’ll enter their battle with the Czech Republic a big -101 chalk.

Although Denmark should win, the Czech Republic is no joke. Yes, the Czechs didn’t score the 2 goals versus the Netherlands in their knockout stage upset victory until the referee handed Matthijs de Ligt a red card.

Still, the Czech Republic played lights out the rest of the way to send the Netherlands packing. Denmark should win this, but the Czechs will frustrate the Danes. If Denmark takes a backward step, most teams would after scoring 8 total goals in 2 matches, the Czech Republic can grab the victory.

Soccer Pick: Czech Republic

England -1 ½ (+121) vs Ukraine +1 ½ (-169)

When: Saturday, July 3

England’s 2-0 win against Germany shows the English are tired of being called soft. England stopped one of the strongest squads in the world from scoring a single goal. That’s actually more impressive than beating the Germans by 2.

The victory, though, was England’s most impressive of the EURO 2020 tournament. The Ukraine knocked off Sweden as a big underdog. The Ukraine finally played a decent match.

The likelihood of England beating the Ukraine by more than a goal isn’t promising. So if you want to play the handicap, back the Ukraine. But why worry about the handicap? England could struggle to score, like they did during group play, which means this could end in regulation at 0-0.

Soccer Pick: Draw
