But the Chargers’ defense depends a lot on the rush and doesn’t put Justin into passing situations often.
That may not be the case in this game.
Bo Nix is going to throw at will.
Nix can also rush.
So when it comes to the matchup, Bo wins even though the Chargers will be tough to beat at home.

If this game happened earlier in the season, Stroud would be the pick to post better stats than Mahomes.

Both QBs also have great targets.

Geno has the edge because this is on his field.
Still, Darnold has been good all season.
So it’s tough to go against the former USC Trojans.

While a few familiar names make the list for the second straight week, this week’s list also features several names we’re not generally used to seeing in the top 10 power rankings. Let’s get started so you can continue betting against their NFL odds.
QBs Power Rankings Heading Into Week 16 | NFL Betting
No. 10 Sam Darnold
While Darnold passed for a modest 207 yards with one TD pass and no interceptions, he totally makes my top 10 by not turning the ball over against LA’s stout defense. Of course, the Jets needed to lose in order to remain in line to get the top pick in next year’s NFL draft, but hey, it’s the Jets we’re talking about.
No. 9 Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes passed for a modest 254 yards with three TD passes and no interceptions in Kansas City’s 32-29 road win over New Orleans. The Super Bowl winning quarterback leads the league in passing yards (4,462) and ranks third in TD passes (36) and second in quarterback rating (83.4).
No. 8 Ryan Tannehill
Tannehill passed for 273 yards with three TD passes and no interceptions in Tennessee’s 46-25 blowout of Detroit. Tannehill is fifth in TD passes (31) and has only thrown five interceptions.
No. 7 Justin Herbert
The Chargers prized rookie looks like a flat-out star. The former Oregon star passed for 314 yards with two TD passes and no picks in LA’s 30-27 road win over Las Vegas. Make no mistake about it, Herbert is the clear-cut winner of the 2020 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
No. 6 Jalen Hurts
Hurts makes the top 10 quarterback rankings for the second straight week – in just his second career start. The former Alabama and Oklahoma star passed for 338 yards with three TD passes and a touchdown run in Philadelphia’s narrow 33-26 road loss at Arizona.
No. 5 Matt Ryan
Even in defeat, Falcons franchise signal-caller Matt Ryan was mostly terrific in passing for 356 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. Besides, it’s not like Ryan can play defense for his beleaguered team.
No. 4 Josh Allen
Buffalo’s franchise quarterback is in the fourth spot for the second straight week after passing for 359 yards with two TD tosses and no picks in Buffalo’s 48-19 road smackdown of Denver.
No. 3 Tom Brady
Brady passed for 390 yards with two TD passes and no interceptions in Tampa Bay’s 31-27 win over Atlanta. Still, I suspect Atlanta’s ongoing ability to collapse at any given moment was a major factor in Brady coming alive in the second half.
No. 2 Deshaun Watson
Watson gets the No. 2 spot for me even in defeat. While Houston was on the wrong side of a 27-20 road loss at Indianapolis last weekend, Watson passed for 373 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Watson nearly led Houston to the comeback win – before Keke Coutee fumbled a potential game-winning TD pass at the 2-yard line with 28 seconds remaining in regulation.
No. 1 Kyler Murray
Murray gets the top spot in the weekly quarterback power rankings after passing for 406 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in Arizona’s huge, 33-26 home win over Philadelphia. The fleet-footed Cardinals star added 29 rushing yards and a score on the ground for good measure to help boost Arizona’s chances of reaching the playoffs.
