Who will be the future stars of the UFC? The fight game can be tough to predict, especially with so many different MMA organizations now open for business. There are some that appear to be a direct feeder system for the UFC, with Dana White’s Contender Series at the top of the list. Winning there comes with no guarantees, but it could potentially be a way to impress the boss and get a shot at the big time. The Contender Series is heading into the 3^rd week of action on Tuesday night, and we have 5 fights on tap on the main card. Sandra Lavado Vs Karolina Wojcik

We get the evening started with a pair of female Strawweight’s stepping into the octagon. Lavado comes into this fight with a pretty impressive 10-2 record, which includes a run of 3 straight wins and 4 in her last 5. It’s a pretty similar story for Wojcik, who has also won 3 in a row and 4 of her last 5 fights to get to a record of 8-2 overall. This looks to be pretty evenly matched, but I like Wojcik to come away with the decision.

Clayton Carpenter Vs Edgar Chairez

Next up we have a Flyweight bout, with one of these fighters looking to maintain an unbeaten record. That would be Carpenter, who comes into this bout at 5-0, with 4 of those wins coming inside the distance. He will, though, have his hands full with Chairez, who is 8-3 overall. Chairez has won each of his last 2 after a bit of a sloppy run, where he lost 3 of 5. I just think that Carpenter is a little too strong and will get the submission win.

Anzar Boynazarov Vs Erik Silva

We have the Featherweights stepping into the octagon next, with these fighters combining for just 1 loss in their pro careers. Boynazarov doesn’t have a ton of pro experience, winning all 3 of his fights without going beyond Round 1. At 8-1 and winner of 7 straight fights, Silva might be the toughest opponent yet for Boynazarov, which is why I think his unbeaten run comes to an end on Tuesday night.

Paulo Renato Jr. Vs Jamal Pogues

We can expect some fireworks in this bout, as both of these Heavyweights have shown power and the ability to get the KO in their fights. Renato is an impressive 10-1 and the winner of 9 straight fights. Pogues has not been quite as dominant, going 8-3 overall, but he has win 4 of his last 5 fights. I’d be stunned to see this one go the distance, so I am taking Renato Jr for the KO win.

Zachary Borrego Vs Bo Nickal

The main event of the night is a Middlweight bout between a pair of fighters still relatively new to the pro game. Borrego is a perfect 3-0, and after winning each of his first 2 fights quickly, he was forced to go the distance last time out. Nickal only has 1 pro fight under his belt, but it took him just 33 seconds to get the win in that one. That was an impressive showing and I like Nickal to get another KO win here.
