With the opening two rounds in the books and upsets galore, March Madness is certainly living up to its name. We have a couple of days to relax before we get going again with the Sweet 16. Rather than sitting around waiting for the games to begin, we have been taking a closer look at all the matchups to see where our college basketball betting dollars might best be spent. Over the next couple of days, we are going to put together picks and parlay tickets for the Sweet 16, but today, we will look at each of the 8 games to try and pick out the best bet for each, so let’s get right to it.

The Spartans come into this one as a modest 2-point favorite after taking out Marquette as the underdog. They will face a Kansas State team riding high after taking out Kentucky in the last round. This one looks to be as evenly matched as it gets, which is why I am simply taking the Spartans for the SU win.

#8 Arkansas Razorbacks Vs #4 UConn Huskies

The Razorbacks are coming off a massive upset of the Kansas Jayhawks, who many liked to win the tournament. This is another tough one, though, with Arkansas in as a 3 ½ point underdog against the Huskies. UConn cruised through the opening two rounds, and I think they do the same here, covering in the process.

#9 FAU Owls Vs #4 Tennessee Volunteers

After making the opening round against ULL more difficult than it needed to be, Tennessee then made things look easy against Duke. This, though, is a tricky one, and while the Vols are favorites, I’m not so sure it will be an easy passage into the Elite 8. I am taking the OVER 131 ½ in this game.

#3 Gonzaga Bulldogs Vs #2 UCLA Bruins

This is arguably the best matchup of the bunch, and it’s one that might well go right down to the wire. Gonzaga has been here before, so it’s perhaps a bit of a surprise that they are in as a slight underdog. I think they can get the win and cover the 2-point spread.

There are only two #1 seeds left in the tournament, which should give you an idea of how crazy things have been. Alabama is a 7 ½ point favorite in this one and they have been tearing it up and scoring in bunches. With that in mind, I really like the OVER 137.

Miami has looked very good through the opening two rounds, covering in both games, but they come into this one as a 7-point underdog. The Cougars haven’t really broken too much of a sweat, and I think they will win and cover quite comfortably.
