We are at the stage of the March Madness proceedings where we get a couple of days to relax after soaking up all the action of the opening two rounds. Yes, we are down to the Sweet 16 and there are some teams in there that nobody expected to consider in the college basketball odds, as well as only two #1 seeds left in the field. This season’s tournament has been tougher to predict than most, but we are going to see if we can make some money this round. Let’s put together some parlay tickets, which you can mix or add to your own picks, or maybe even totally ignore in favor of your own. No judgement here.

Sweet 16 SU Parlay

Kansas State looked very good through the opening two rounds, but they are in as an underdog against the lower seeded Michigan State Spartans. This figures to be a close one, but I am on the Spartans for the win.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are more than a little familiar with this stage of the tournament, and while they have a tough one coming up against UCLA, I think they are in a position to go even deeper in the tournament.

We have another #2 versus #3 coming up in this round, with Xavier and Texas set to square off. The Longhorns are in as the higher seed and the favorite, but I am rolling with the Musketeers to win a close one.

Sweet 16 ATS Parlay

It might be seen as a cop out to play the #1 seeds, but as we have seen, there is no such thing as a clear path to a championship. Alabama has looked strong, and I like them as a 7 ½ point favorite over San Diego State.

I am sticking with the #1 seeds in the second leg of the parlay, with the Houston Cougars set to face the Miami Hurricanes. Houston is in as a 7-point favorite, and while this is not an easy game, I like them to pull away late.

The Princeton Tigers have been a great story in the tournament, but I think they have gone as far as they can. They will face Creighton as a 10-point underdog, and I believe they will finally buckle and see their run come to an end.

Sweet 16 O/U Parlay

I am somewhat going against the trend here by taking FAU and Tennessee to go OVER 131 ½ in their matchup, as the Vols have seen both of their games go under in the tournament. I just think this number is a little on the low side.

The Alabama Crimson Tide offense has been on fire through the opening two rounds, and I think they are ready to put up some more big numbers. I like them to roll into the Elite 8, with the point total going OVER 137 against San Diego State.

Princeton has seen 4 of their last 6 games fall UNDER the point total, and while they have been a great story, I think they might be on a beating at the hands of Creighton. I like the Bluejays to score early and often, taking the point total OVER 140.
