While the Rays could pose a stern challenge to the Yankees in the AL East, New York should be able to come out on top of the division when all is said and done.

The problem for the Yankees will come in the postseason, where they will once again have to overcome the Houston Astros if they want to get to the World Series. Houston has simply owned the Yankees in the playoffs, and there is no reason to expect that to change. New York will fall in the ALCS once again to Houston to close out their 2023 season.
